"Due to space constraints and the high cost of phased construction within the hospital setting, UCSF is shifting primary pharmacy functions to an off-site, B-Occupancy space of approximately 10,800 square feet. The Production Pharmacy will service the ongoing patient medication needs for the Parnassus Campus, the Mt. Zion Campus, and the future Mission Bay Hospital. A consolidation of various Pharmacy functions such as purchasing, IV preparation, and unit dose leads to more efficiency. Automation and robotics play a central role in the new Production Pharmacy. The project features ISO Class 5 and 7 clean rooms in accordance with USP797. This project is LEED Silver." - bfhl.net
